These are principles I’ve arrived at through building. They’re not aspirational — they describe how I actually try to operate.
Ship over spec
Working code wins arguments. I co-founded Durability Labs and we’re building Archivist as our first project — in both cases the bias is toward getting something live, not perfecting a whitepaper.
Stay legible
I use my real name (Jessie Santiago) and a consistent handle (@JessieBroke) across platforms. Legibility builds trust; anonymity has its uses, but I’ve chosen transparency.
Build infrastructure, not hype
Every project I’ve touched — Archivist, Codex, even the Dad DAO experiment — is about building layers that other things depend on. Storage, coordination, identity. Not tokens for the sake of tokens.
